moisture problem

Putting vinyl siding over tongue and groove cedar

We have a 25 year old home with tongue and groove cedar. We have nailed it down tight and now want to put Styrofoam on the cedar. Do we need an air space? Should we put wrap over the Styrofoam? Trim and Chair rail??

We have a 23 year old home and some things are interesting. We are currently going to repaint and put up new window, door, and floor trim plus re-do our chair rail. We want to do 4 inch trim for that really nice modern look. But in some areas our trim will touch, overlap or not fit. Is there any ideas you have will not necessitate moving windows or any kind of major reno? Also could we lower the chair rail and if yes how low before it looks funny? cold storage room

We own a 60's bungalow. The basement is dry and finished but the existing cold storage room is musty. It is concrete block foundation with poured cement floor. Our well pump is located in there, too. We don't use it for preserves because of the smell that even stings the eyes. What should we do to eliminate that musty/moldy smell that comes from that room? Thank you. Read our expert's answer »
