Basement Exterior Walls

The interior wall of our basement are covered with stipple directly on the concrete block. We now want to renovate with a 2x4 stud wall with insulation. I am pondering the question what to do about the stipple as I feel there may be a chance of mold forming after it is covered with the 2X4 wall covered in, insulation, moisture barrier and gyproc. shower tiles

Does the grout for our newly installed shower tiles (done by a professional) need to be sealed? He used stain-free white grout and says no. I'm not so sure. Read our expert's answer »

Leveling a basement floor

I am installing a Dri-Core Subfloor. I noticed the area I am putting the subfloor in is out by 3/4 of an inch from one end to the other. The other problem is there are vinyl tiles glued to the floor. Stone Foundation

I bought a century old house that has a stone foundation. There is one small section of wall that hasn't been "pointed" (I believe that's what it's called but I can't find anything that says it's specifically made for this application).
