Basement Exterior Walls
The interior wall of our basement are covered with stipple directly on the concrete block. We now want to renovate with a 2x4 stud wall with insulation. I am pondering the question what to do about the stipple as I feel there may be a chance of mold forming after it is covered with the 2X4 wall covered in, insulation, moisture barrier and gyproc. Being in a colder climate we may get some moisture formation on the inside of the block wall

shower tiles
Does the grout for our newly installed shower tiles (done by a professional) need to be sealed? He used stain-free white grout and says no. I'm not so sure.

Leveling a basement floor
I am installing a Dri-Core Subfloor. I noticed the area I am putting the subfloor in is out by 3/4 of an inch from one end to the other. The other problem is there are vinyl tiles glued to the floor. I want to put down a self leveling cement but I am not sure what to use or what prep to the floor I should do.

Stone Foundation
I bought a century old house that has a stone foundation. There is one small section of wall that hasn't been "pointed" (I believe that's what it's called but I can't find anything that says it's specifically made for this application). I would like to finish this job but have no idea as to what to use. Can you give me some suggestions?
